Okay, so I've had enough of the cold already (whine, whine), but I have to admit, winter can be so pretty. So amazingly beautiful. I mean, look at this. I took it during the "polar vortex" when everything, including the thermal panes on my windows, went into hibernation.
Isn't it just...perfect?
This week, when the polar vortex makes a return appearance (gah!), I'll be keeping an eye out for the beauty it will undoubtedly bring with it. And also contemplating hibernation. Again.
So beautiful! Reminds me that my kids and I haven't made paper snowflakes yet this year to hang in our windows. Maybe today... We have been having freezing fog where I live (eastern Washington). Having just moved to this side of the state back in June this is new to me and absolutely gorgeous. Whereas snow blankets everything, this freezing fog just coats and outlines everything in a think frost. It is stunning. As my hubby said the other day as we were out running errands, "it makes a field of weeds and a broken fence look beautiful." Indeed everything seems to look beautiful right now.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen freezing fog once or twice, and it is stunning--and best enjoyed from safely inside. :)
DeleteThat is gorgeous! Good luck with the return of the polar vortex. We are going to Indiana in Feb to see my stepson and his family (his son will be turning 2). I sure hope the polar vortex does not show up then. I don't have much winter clothing here, so I imagine I will be freezing during our visit. Hope you are warm and can stay inside and take more gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, a warm front will blow through by then, Linda. No new pics yet, but that's mostly due to my laziness.
