I'm busy, busy, busy working on PERFECTLY MATCHED, the next Lucy Valentine book. I'm loving writing it, so that helps as I work long hours trying to get it done by my projected May 1st release. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
I just turned in copy edits for A Witch Before Dying. Next stop is pass pages--the last time I can make any kind of changes, and after that...it goes to print. WHEE!
The Malice Domestic conference is coming up, and I'm already trying to figure out what to bring. I need to order tons o' bookmarks, which ought to be fun lugging around in my carry-on. If you love traditional/cozy mysteries, this is one of the best conferences around. Tons of authors, tons of readers, lots of great panels, the Agatha Awards, and lots of elbow-rubbing. If you're interested, go to www.malicedomestic.org for more info.
I just got home from a driving session with Baby Girl. At almost 17, she's a reluctant driver for sure--the only reason she even got her temps in the first place was because she needed government ID to get on base to see her brother graduate from boot camp. She's a good driver, though. At least in parking lots. We haven't advanced to streets yet. Hopefully soon. One of her goals is to drive herself to school next year...we'll see if my heart can handle that!
I'm in reality TV heaven these days. Housewives, Celebrity Apprentice, The Voice, American Idol, Tabatha Takes Over (who else loves her???), Fashion Star, the Biggest Loser, Bethenny Ever After (love her too), Amazing Race... Happiness. But my new favorite show? Long Island Medium. It's on TLC and features an average-mom-next-door who's a medium. LOVE IT. Wish it was on more often. One of the reasons I write about a psychic (Lucy Valentine) is that I'm so fascinated by the subject--this show feeds that fascination--plus it's just plain entertaining.
What are you watching these days?
Housewives & Bethenny. And I'm off to a Medium tonight, your blog, a sign?...hmmm!
ReplyDeleteWatched Long Island Medium all day yesterday!
ReplyDeleteAnon, definitely a sign. :)
ReplyDeleteNikki, isn't it fantastic??? I'm addicted. SO want to meet her. Love the little random readings she does around town.
I saw a commercial for this show while in Texas. I'll have to check it out. So far the only reality show I watch is the Amazing Race unless Dancing with the stars is a reality show.
ReplyDeleteI love Long Island Medium and I am really getting into The Voice.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the new Lucy book. Wish I was going to Malice. That would so rock!
Heather, do you want to ship the bookmarks to my house and I can drive them up for you?
ReplyDeleteIt'll save you more room for shoes in your carry-on, :)
Reality junkie here!!! I can't believe you haven't watched Long Island Medium!!! I LOVED that show last year! You need to watch all the YOUTUBE videos from last season. My new character, Olive Heal, is loosely based on her:)))
ReplyDeleteDon't get a lot of TV in... but when I do it's The Walking Dead first. Love Bethenny as well. And maybe some Real Housewives now and then. Oh, I do get a kick out of Jersey Shore when I stumble upon it. Love Vin.
ReplyDeleteThat is what makes her more believable to me when she just randomly does it and knows names!
ReplyDeleteI watched some of Long Island Medium last season & really liked it. I decided to watch more this season which is perfect b/c I am reading through Victoria Laurie's Psychic Eye series now.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this, but I'm currently obsessed with Being Human and Lost Girl. I just love the characters and the relationships between them. Luckily, my hubby watches Being Human with me, makes it more fun!
ReplyDeleteGCB, Grimm, Supernatural, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, Not My Mama's Meals, Once Upon a Time, Bitchin' Kitchen, Extra Virgin....as you can see I am hooked on cooking shows and some supernatural schtuff..
ReplyDeleteI'm LOVING Long Island Medium. It's interesting how expansive her talent is. Plus she's so...normal. Entertainingly so. Wouldn't you love to pick her brain for research?
ReplyDeleteSO excited about your books! You know I love every one of them.
