The Sticker

Last week I was at the doc’s office and when I was checking out, I very sheepishly asked the receptionist if I could take a sticker from the basket sitting on the counter.

When she looked at me funny, I explained that I liked to put stickers on Mr. W’s lunch bags.

She said, “I think I might gag that’s so sweet.” Then she tipped her head, looked at me, and said, “I hope to have that some day.”

Which I found very sweet so I said, “I hope you do, too.”
