(Son # 2 now drives a slightly bigger car) |
Case in point:
Son # 2 drove his sister to school this morning.
Amazing to me that this time last year he didn't even have his license. And that this time next year, she'll probably be driving herself while he's getting ready to head off to college.
Surreal, I tell you. I thought summer had flown by, but really, life is flying by! I'm going to work harder on appreciating every single day even more than I do now.

I think this is why people enjoy their grandkids more than they did their own kids. It's not the "you can give them back" thing. It's that grandparents are aware from the day that child is born just how short a time we get to have them before they're grown and gone.
ReplyDeleteDo you know the ABBA song "Slipping Through My Fingers"? It was in Mamma Mia. I love that song.
Heather, love that picture! Yep, time is flying by...but in a good way, I think.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great, kid-free day!
I know what you mean. It's hard to see them growing up, although I do like it when my niece needs me.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter came home and said, "When does summer vacation start?" LOL. Poor girl!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good day. Mr. Webber took half a day off, so at least I wasn't lonely. :)
That's the cutest picture. I think I have a few of those myself:) This year our oldest is driving to school and I worry every second he's on the road. He is cautious (or at least he acts like he is). But in three years, the twins will be driving and the tween is following them. I will have to learn how to tame that worry by then...
