She's keeping warm 13 eggs. We're all worried
--since when do ducks lay eggs in the fall?--
but trying to think optimistically.

    Dru, it's at my husband's parents' house (they don't like the term 'in laws'!).

    It has to be close to hatching time--the duck has been nesting for a while now. We're all hoping for a happy ending.

    Unfortunately, my hubby, the woodsman, says they likely won't hatch. April is when ducks usually hatch their eggs.

    Keep me posted, Heather. I love it when wildlife proves him wrong.
