Have spent most of the afternoon trying to convince my 18 year old son why it is a bad idea to buy a $30,000 (on sale from $40k) brand-new car. He's not understanding the whole lifelong debt thing. Or the interest thing. Or why, as good parents, we won't co-sign.
Am now fighting a headache, the evil mom that I am.
Tell him to buy a Vespa.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, he'd get the motorcycle just to send me over the edge.
ReplyDeletePerhaps letting him take this loan and all the responsibility that goes with it will give him the real-life wake-up call he needs.
ReplyDeleteKids. :/
Even when they are 33, they sometimes still don't get it. Better buy a big bottle of aspirin :)
