I was sitting here staring at the computer screen, procrastinating actually writing something, when I rolled back (chair is on wheels) and looked out the window.
Right now everything is just about perfect outside. Green grass, bright pink petuntias, shrubs are healthy, and the mulch hasn't turned a hideous shade of gray-brown yet.
The best part is watching the birds. A mama robin was bouncing around the yard with a worm in her mouth when a toddler robin bounded out from under the pine tree, opened his little beak, and the mama put the worm in it. The little robin (with cute tufts of feathers sticking out on top of its head) turned and hopped back under the tree and the mama went off to look for more food (a mother's work is never done, no?).
There's something so peaceful about watching nature in action (though I do feel for that worm!). Yet, I have to get back to work. I suppose another few minutes can't hurt...
I feel like the title of this post was deliberately misleading. Shame on you!
