Strange

I just realized the home phone didn't ring once yesterday. And I didn't realize how strange that is until I stopped to think about it.

Seems like the phone is always ringing around here. Some days it doesn't stop (or at least feels that way). And though it was peaceful, it's oddly unsettling too (WHY wasn't anyone calling????).

For a while now we've been thinking about getting rid of our land line (anyone done this? pros/cons?), but now I'm wondering if I can get used to the quiet...

I think I can--it's just after 8 a.m. and the phone has already rung twice. On the way to making up for yesterday, I'm thinking. :)
