For the second time in a week, I've pulled down the little 6 cup coffee maker from the top shelf of the pantry. I'm not a big fan of coffee, but sometimes I crave a cup. I'd like to think it has something to do with the change in the weather--it's turned very cold here very fast, (brr)--but I could easily make cocoa or tea, so that theory isn't flying.
You'd be amused watching me make coffee. The directions for the little pot have long since been lost, and it takes me quite a while to make sure I have everything where it needs to be. And figuring out exactly how much coffee to use is always fun.
One thing I KNOW is affected by the weather is my sudden yearning to bake. When those autumn leaves start covering the ground, I start poring over my cookbooks, looking to bake something yummy. I've got cobbler in mind to try soon (thanks to Linda M), and possibly some sugar cookies. There's nothing so delicious as a warm from the oven sugar cookie...
Even if I'm eating it while drinking a cup of coffee.

I have a single cup coffeemaker, called CafeUno, which I bought at Christmas Tree Shop a couple years ago. All you do is fill your mug with water, pour it in, along with one scoop of coffee. Practically fool-proof! I always had a hard time with the correct measurements too.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I think that machine sounds perfect for me (you know, being fool proof and all!)
ReplyDeleteI love it because you don't have to make a huge pot, just one cup. No waste!
