The power company has called in reinforcements from the Carolinas and the Gulf (uh, don't they need the help a little bit more?). Still over 400,000 without power, including some in my neighborhood.
And for the third day, the kids are home from school.
I've been hearing terrible stories about people with no food and no water. I'm so grateful to have had such little damage. I'm counting blessings.
For us, other than spotty cable coverage and a shortage on gas (in the pic, that's 30 cars in line at a local station), all is pretty much back to normal. The garage contractor is even coming today. It's a little surreal when so many are still without so much...
