But I digress. While I was there I spotted the new Jane Porter book, Mrs. Perfect. I've been wanting this and decided it was the perfect reward for me finishing my own book. The catch? I'm holding out on reading it until my book is in the mail to NYC --or-- I'm sitting poolside in Vermont.
I'm thinking it's not going to last until Vermont...
There is no better way to treat yourself than with books, IMO. I've had a terrible past 2 weeks, with a death in the family, and am heading out to the bookstore after work today with 3 titles on my list- Scots on the Rocks by Mary Daheim, Witch by Barbara Michaels, and Handbags and Homicide by Dorothy Howell.
ReplyDeletePlus in the mail this past week I've gotten Michele Scott's A Vintage Murder and Suzanne Price's Dirty Deeds, among others, so I guess I treat myself quite well LOL
ReplyDeleteWe deserve it! We could have much worse addictions!
Melissa, I'm so sorry to hear about the death in the family. Books are definitely a good way to escape for a while--hope you found the titles you were looking for.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right about the addictions! So right.
